Mount Snowdon is the second highest peak in the United Kingdom accessible via many walking routes and the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Because “management” had a dodgy knee she opted for the train. The weather is always unpredictable and although have been having a heatwave that is no measure to the conditions on the summit. The infamous Crib Goch route claims many lives a year, however Prince William and his helicopter crew rescue many walkers and climbers a year. Read more about the mountain and routes see here

When we arrived at the summit we were greeted by the all too often sight of cloud.
As usual on the way down the clouds parted and the panoramas were spectacular again. So a good day out all told.
