If you like a vibrant and atmospheric city, look no further than Liverpool. Home of the Beatles, this wonderful community can provide endless photo opportunities and it offers so much more.
On June 14th, I joined a group of 8 folks who wanted to experience what Liverpool had to offer, we were not to be disappointed. It was the weekend of the River Festival and the City was packed with folks, even better the weather was superb. We joined Matt Hart for his tour of the City, ably assisted by his mate Steve Coleman. See more about Matt here and here. Was this a treat, or was this a treat? Well, it certainly didn’t disappoint!
We met at Costa Coffee on Albert Dock and walked in a loop around the City. Liverpool was gearing up for a day of celebrations of its maritime history. As I passed the famous Cunard Building I thought of my next trip with Cunard to Iceland soon. All life appears in Liverpool and this is a short blog about my day out in an iconic City. This was the second time I moved out of my comfort zone in 6 weeks, I needn’t have worried it was a terrific day.
No exif data this time, just images. The weapon of choice was the Fuji X-T1 coupled to the 10-20mm f4 and 18-55mm f2.8-4. For more see my flickr stream here. These are some of my images

Ah, on the right!
Can you see the face in the window?
OK, a few colour images!
A great day with like minded folks. Where next? Norway, Iceland, Faroe and Orkney Islands. Keep looking.
What have I taken away from this? I am so enjoying “Street” photography.
